What Causes Tinnitus

The older you are, the more likely it is that you could have tinnitus. It has a variety of causes, including:
long exposure to loud noise

blockage of the ear canal due to wax buildup
an ear infection
a perforated eardrum

Side effects of hundreds of drugs, including aspirin, quinine, diuretics and anti-inflammatories chronic stress. Tinnitus can be a symptom of other health problems

high blood pressure
persistent allergies
If you have tinnitus along with dizziness, you might have fluid buildup in your inner ear, or damage to the small bones in your middle ear.
